creating a Presently there are few options for adults with ASD in regards to housing, employment, independence, and successful living. One alternative to meet this need for some of our children involves looking at a successful model such as the Bittersweet Farms located in Whitehouse, Ohio. It is an internationally recognized program that serves people with Autism. As a working farmstead, Bittersweet is noted for its holistic and positive approach in providing residential programs along with meaningful personal, vocational, and recreational opportunities. Their programs uses farming as the vehicle for providing structure and a full meaningful life for individuals with Autism. Funding for the Bittersweet Farms continued success comes from governmental programs, grants, fund raising, and community contributions.
