        Thank you so much for fighting for our children. I am appalled by the opposition you have faced. I deeply appreciate all you have tried to do for our children, and I know that Dr. Rimland is guiding you. May God bless you and your efforts to expose what we believe is the truth. After visiting our DAN doctor recently, she expressed her gratitude to you. They can try, but I believe the good will prevail. The truth will come to light, and I hope someday you get the recognition and praise that you so deserve. We can't give up.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,
        I, for one, have appreciated your willingness to speak out in spite of overbearing opposition. For several years I served in the military and became aware of how information was used and misused. It was called "black" propaganda and "white" propaganda. Each year of my seven decades I have become increasingly skeptical of the federal government and their committees. Keep up the excellent work.

        We have two grandsons with autism. Both have apraxia and are receiving special speech therapy. Both have just started chelation therapy with Dr. Cindy Schneider in AZ. We are seeing progress in speech; more with one than the other but progress. We do not know what the chelation therapy will bring.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield and associates,
        I do not believe that words are enough to thank you and all of the other professionals who endeavor to heal our sickened children. In 2006, my son regressed 3 times. Like so many others, I watched my happy, healthy son darken to a soul that I no longer recognized. He became aggressive, and his behaviors were out of control. He lost vision, and I watched as his blinked and rubbed his eyes trying to re-focus. He developed such pain in his fingers that he would beg me to "fix it." He held out his fingertips to me, but all I could do was offer kisses to ease the pain. He gagged and vomited when he ate. He produced white poop; mud puddle poop; flesh eating poop; flesh burning poop; hive inducing poop; poop consisting of 95% round, beautiful, perfectly formed undigested peas in a matrix of <5% fecal matter; and poop that dropped a MINIMUM of 4 pH levels in 1 hour depending on the type of protein he was eliminating. I watched him hit and scream endlessly, tirelessly in pain. And, then, I watched as his speech went away. I watched these regressions on 3 separate occasions... I watched these things happen to my son, who was only a toddler, and innocent as could be.

        Do you know what our DAN! doctor said the first time she examined my son? She said, 'MMR.' Your research is being scrutinized and criticized by those who fear, but please remember that it is also being scrutinized and revered as sound, honest science by those who have witnessed. We have watched the shots and witnessed our childrens' reactions. You have taken those reactions and discovered a cause. Thanks to your efforts, the truth has been published...the war has been waged...the fight has begun...and our children are winning. Our children are recovering, thanks in so many different ways to you and your bravery in a very conflicting scientific world.

        Those who do not understand autism will question. Those who fear will judge. Those who witness will welcome. And God above all will reward.

        As a mom who has been everywhere in the NY area and read so much on the gut, you are hands down one of the few most gifted clinicians. Thank you for your work and ability to communicate all this "stuff" in an understandable presentation to parents and physicians. Hang in there...."office politics" suck and it's a beyond words that business can come before helpless kids....what are these idiots going to do when it's their kid or grandchild? Hope this passes fast....your needed on the front lines over here!

        If you mention "eosinophilic gut" once I'm on the next plane to Austin! Gotta get back to work here....Neocate is pretty gross and Elecare is GMO!

        Thank you for continuing on with the good fight. Historically, many medical pioneers have been vilified for taking on positions contrary to accepted status quo. We began biomedical interventions with my 13 year old son (mild autism, high functioning) only a year ago with great success including a huge reduction in "melt downs" in school, increased and appropriate participation in family conversations, increased appropriate performance in school (he's getting an A- in a full up 7th grade science class with minimal help and he has joined the band playing the clarinet.) I could go on and on reciting his progress achievements; suffice it to say that life is so much better for him and us and we have not yet gotten to chelation therapies (we're still working on yeast treatments,mineral supplements, fish oil, astragulus, etc.) My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner and part of the reason for not doing so is that I read articles from respected physicians panning these therapies. The only way for these therapies to become the accepted practice is for physicians such as yourself to speak out. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

        I commend Dr Wakefield on his courage to take on such a powerful aversary as the British Government.

        I did not allow my eldest and subsequently my younger children to have MMR.

        My eldest has developed Asperger'sSyndrome and appears also to have Leaky Gut Syndrome.

        I firmly believe that if I had've my child's situation would have been a lot worse. I do believe that there is a link between MMR & Autism but in a capacity of exacerbation of pre-disposition.

        I thank Dr Wakefield for making me think twice and not vaccinate blindly. I believe that single doses,although more costly and invasive to the child are a much safer way to go. It may cost more, but what price can you put on a child's future and quality of life?

        Dear Dr. Andrew Wakefield,
        I am happy that you are working to defeat autism. My child was first diagnosed at age 2 with P.D.D. I have worked extremely hard to help mold my child to this day as to who he really is. Reports and doctors said that he may never talk or be toileted. Today he is in grade 3 and is functioning quite independently on his own. He reads at a grade 4/5 level. I am so happy to have encouragement from people like yourself. Keep up the journey that you are taking with defeating autism. I appreciate you.

        Dear Dr Wakefield,

        I met you at a conference in New Jersey when Dr Baker gave a presentation and used socks as a reference. We sat at the same table. My son was a patient of Sid's and in fact is the child on the cover of the latest DAN protocol ( cute kid with the Santa hat on it).

        Thanks to you and people like Sid Baker I can say that my son is completely cured. My son has been in a mainsteam school since kindergarden and has been an honor student for the past few years. He is a state chess champion as well.

        I was saddened when I read the report but not shocked. Kinda like the tobacco companies.. Nothing has changed.

        I applaud your heroic works and remember our fun evening together. That evening I was introduced to Dr Rimland as "M's dad.

        I have followed your career since the evening we met. I also remember stories from Sid about your presentation in San Diego.

        Thank god there are people like you in the world.

        Dear Doctor Wakefield,

        I am saddened to hear news of your license being placed in question. Obviously the establishment is being close minded and refuses for some unknown reason to believe that there in fact is a link between GI issues and autism. I can only share with you my story as evidence that in fact your research is correct and more importantly that further research in this area MUST be done.

        My son, now 32 months old was diagnosed with autism at 25 months of age. Long before his diagnosis we susupected that not only did he have a developmental delay because of his lack of speech but also that he had a serious GI problem. Not long after a terrible immunization reaction at 12 months (the MMR here in Canada) we began to notice not only the speech issues but the start of what would become chronic diarhea. It worsened after the MMR booster at 18 months. At the time of diagnosis my son was having 4 to 6 explosive diarhea filled diapers per day. His abdomen was chronically distended and he passed gas often. Many times he refused food because I believe he was in pain from his stomach and didn't want to eat. Vomiting was also an issue. We initially suspected IBD or Crohn's as both are prevalent on each side of the family. However through our testing we discovered that he had significant yeast overgrowth, intolerance to wheat and nuts and markers for clostridia. I am also convinced that he has lingering viral issues from his immunizations.
        We started the gluten free diet, added in a probiotic, and started Diflucan all with fantastic results. The abdominal distension is gone. The diarhea ..... gone. Appetite has increased so much that instead of losing weight (or failing to gain) he has packed on 2 pounds in the past month. He is sleeping better at night too!

        So for those people that think the two aren't linked they should perhaps listen to the thousands of parents who will tell you a similar story.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,

        I would like to thank you and your colleagues for listening to the parents to look further into their childrens' gastro-intestonal issues. There are more traumatic procedures that we put ourselves and our children through than lumbar punctures and colonoscopies, such as amniocenticses (forgive my spelling), circumcisms, not to mention as a parent the loss of your child's future washed away with this horrible diagnosis.

        We thought our son maybe had ADHD and needed me to be home from work for awhile to get that toileting down (age 4) along with some speech therapy and some kindergarten social experiences; being shocked to discover that he had autism. After his diagnoses, I kept asking our family Dr., developmental Dr. about his toileting issues and specifically if my yeast issues were part of the problem with his toileting and his poops seemed unusually large for his age. We were told no. I even kept inquiring if there was a Dr. who specifically addressed toileting, no help was really provided except that I finally was forwarded to a Behavourist. Then I started coming across biomedical concepts, and am totally thankful to talk with other parents. After 2 months GF/CF diet and one digestive supplement he started recognizing the feeling of bowel/urination; then things started to happen and all the past bouts of trying to toilet train made sense, feeding this kid salty/wheat crackers and lots of water to get him to pee alot; followed by diahrea and stressful times. Go figure!

        I've watched a DVD of you speaking at the 2004 DAN conference, viewing it this year 2007. You totally inspired me to keep going on an evening that I was overwhelmed with GF/CF, supplements and family cynicism fatigued with swimming up river like a salmon. But knowing in my gut that I was doing the right thing; and our home and school aides supported me because they said that they were skeptical at the beginning but now believe in my son's progress to be this biomedical stuff. They've worked with other kids that haven't made such progress.

        You and your team will be in my humble prayer's tonight.

Because of people like you and the wave of knowledge being shared great hope is returning. In March 2007 was the first birthday party I took him to that I didn't cry after, after taking care of his meltdown because he was devastated that he couldn't handle being there. We even had him in skates and held him while his friends cheer him on, he was the best behaved child at the party and happy. In Canada, a parent, especially a DAD, dreams of taking his boy to hockey, that dream for his DAD is a clammed up loss that's not talked about. One day I have hope that they can drive to a Tim Horton's coffee shop and talk about a day of skating and maybe even hockey.

        PS: he is successful at toileting! His DAD and I still marvel at.

        Hi Andrew,

        It is with out most respect i am writting to you. Not for brillant studies but rather for your time and devotion for these kids who can not talk for themselves. That is where people like you come and make a difference in this world that we live in. You are a true scientist as you investigate your doubts and findings just like Gallileo did hundreds of years ago. We see you as a true doctor and we will fight this fight against autism. We will support you all the way as you have been an inspiration to mankind for presenting your findings to medical community inspite of conflicts of interest present between medical establishments and pharma industry putting at risk your career not like others who just hide away under their desks. There will be a time where your name (which i already)will be on the most prestigious medical institutes.

        Also, i find you shy on the presentations in the beginning, just like myself. But you catch up real quick and present clearly.

Someday, the truth will be known. An entire generation of children are injured and nobody cares. It is unbelievable that this type of crime could happen in our modern world.         I wrote you a letter of support earlier in the year, but I wanted to share with you my son's progress since being scoped by Dr. Krigsman, finding LNH, and starting anti-inflammatories. At six years old, he was finally out of a diaper, since he is no longer in the pain he was in during his bathroom trips and has no need to hide. At seven, he is very interested in reading, writing, and he hugs me sincerely and with great care. He is reading on grade level! For the first year ever, he insisted on going trick or treating!         Change is often difficult for people to accept, but when one looks back at history, it is often the brave and truthful persons who have changed our world for the better, but too often these pioneers were also isolated and persecuted by the very persons who should have embraced them. I, too, have been persecuted for making hard, but truthful decisions that have saved my child from a lifetime of mental retardation.         That day , when I took my child to vaccine, something inside me was telling me not to do it. I had no option. It was the protocol. When I came back home I cried a lot. I instictively knew she got worse. And it got each time worse. NObody knew what she had: doctors, laboratorial exams, teachers, family. They even did not believe me when I was saying that she was not just fine. Stop to worry so much! They would say. I almost got divorced. Thank to you and your research, I have now some reason to believe in me and to believe in her. Thank you so much. For your care, for your love for the health of so many children. For your great sense of observation. For listening to what parents say, and for studying it. I have been laughed at so much. you and your research didn't laugh at me. They showed me that I was right.         I have been an occupational therapist for nearly 14 years and have specialized in pediatrics within the last six years of my practice. In June of 2007, my youngest son was diagnosed with Autism. I've been on the Autism journey as a parent for just five months but I am reading everything I can get my hands on. I just attended the DAN! Conference in CA. and left thoroughly inspired and exhausted. Since my return, I've been doing research online and have read much about you and your efforts for families with Autism.

        I thank you for your courage, knowledge, and perseverance in taking a stand on this issue. I can see where your theory makes perfect sense. If ONLY Western medicine would open their minds to Autism being a gut and a brain problem...That is my prayer and mission.

        Good Morning Dr Wakefield,

        We are an international family, Australians, living in Boston, with my children's grandparents living in England. I write to you this morning from an all too familiar second home, the Children's Hopital Boston where my now 8 year old daughter still suffers dreadfully from..and this will be no suprise to you...a severe reaction to her MMR when administered at 14months old in combination with both DTaP, and all the other 12 & 18 month vacinations whilst she was ill with an ear infection.....

        As a consequence she is severely mentally retarded, austistic spectrum also, with a severe retractable seizure disorder and chronic bowel problems.

        In know this will anger you as it does myself but brace yourself..1) The irresponsibility of the administering pediatrician who immunized her in this negligent manner is protected by law here from being sued by us for malpractice....we tried..

        2) Our daughter's first neurologist had the foresight to blame the vacinations and soforth set us on a four year journey with an attorney and the Vaccine Compensation Fund....a long story short...the panel of 10 medical experts in Washington DC concerred that it was the MMR which put her into initial encephaolopathic crisis and status and further injured her neurologically permanently..
        She received a small compensation package for her 'loss of ability to earn wages" as they put it....truly DISGUSTING!!! But it means we can now affort to exploit all the powerful avenues of biochemisty relative to MMR insult that you pioneered through a DAN doctor. It is late for her after 7 years of incredible suffering but I remain hopeful.

        My mother in England would excitedly send me newspaper articles about your findings and finanlly we are seeing a Dr Hardy who
        has already done more for her in just prescribing folinic acid and B12 than her enterage of 'specialists'.

        Of course she has many spinal taps...and is currently in for another under general anasthesia and a 72 hour EEG long term monitoring. I note that these doctors are not considered inept or inappropriate for doing exploratory proceedures.

        IT IS ABHORANT THAT YOU ARE BEING MALICIOUSLY VINDICATED IN THIS WAY...BY A MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT TOO EGOTISTICAL TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE POISONING OF A GENERATION AND WORSE ATTACKING the TREMENDOUS CONTRIBUTION TO FIXING THEIR MISTAKE THAT YOU HAVE INITIATED THROUGH YOUR BRILLIANT PIONEERING EFFORTS..

        THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A WITCH HUNT AS UK GOVERNMENT TRIES TO PROTECT ITSELF FROM JUSTIFYABLE LITIGATION FROM ANGRY HURTING PARENTS AS YOU UNCOVER THE TRUTH.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,

        I am so gratefully for you. There are no words to describe the gratitude I have for you. Your work gave me back my son. I can only share my son's story.

        My son was a normal bright little four years old. He went in and received the MMR, Hep B, DTap, Polio at his four year old checkup. He collapsed a couple times while running in our back yard the same day. The doctor reassured me he was fine. He had a seizure that night and a large welt on his leg the following morning. I noticed a change in him about two weeks after receiving the vaccines. His bowels had shut down. The fourth week he was pretty much gone. I had no idea about autism, mercury and MMR vaccine. By the grace of god, I talked to your office after finding info on the Internet and the Autism Research Institute. Ms. Kennedy called me back and put me in contact with a DAN doctor in my state. After one week of treatment I was able to touch my son without him screaming. He is about 90% recovered. He is in a normal 2nd grade class. He is very bright. He reads at a six grade level. I thank God everyday for this wonderful gift. I also thank God for you.

        Dr Wakefield,

        words cannot express what you have done for our children - my son is 4 years old, and diagnosed PDD-NOS at 2 and half years of age. Today at 4 years of age he no longer falls under the ASD guidelines due to early intervention with bio-medical intervention and diet. He still has issues (including some mild gut issues) but he developed language at 3 years of age and makes eye contact, is smart and funny, and LOVING and he can TALK......without your reserach my child would not have had the benefit of dietary and bio-medical intervention and would not be the child that he is today.

        My prayers are with you and I pray to God to give you strength as you go through this trial and that the truth will be known.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,

        Yesterday I cried happy tears as I watched from my window, my son (10 years old, almost recovered from autism) playing hockey with his older brother (15) on their rollerblades. If it weren't for doctors like you, my son would not of been out there enjoying the day with his brother. Instead, he would have been pacing the hallways back and forth while making shapes with his fingers holding his hands up close to his eyes like he use to.

        My home is now a regular *family home*, with sports equipment piled up at the front door. Seeing my son smile now is the best gift of all. Thanks to the biomedical help our family received for him, he will now go on to have a normal life.

        You should be receiving an award not a trial. I wish you the best of luck!

        Dr. Wakefield, I am the mother of a 4-year old non-verbal autistic child. I have received nothing but disinterest and apathy from every pediatrician and specialist I have encountered in my quest for help for my son. I feel abandoned by so-called modern medicine and so applaud your efforts in trying to piece together part of the horrendous puzzle of autism through biomedical research.

        I am very grateful to each of you. Your willingness to stand by the truth of your findings, in spite of immense personal risk, in my mind, puts you up there with the greats throughout history whom sacrificed for the greater good. You may not now be getting the credit you deserve, but as your findings continue to be replicated by others, you will be recognized as the pioneers that you are.

        My autistic son did not have these horrible intestional troubles until he was approximately two years old, and this has gotten worse as time passes. In light of your research findings and those of researchers at Wake Forest and New York Universities, I have the right to know whether or not my son has live Measles virus in his body, so he can be treated. Should this be the case, then I am concerned about the long-term effects this could have on his health. Yet, if the powers that be continue to exert a chilling effect on researchers, how will any of us ever be able to treat our children for this very serious medical issue?

        Dear dr. Andrew,

        My 11 years old son is a victim of MMR vaccination and the thimerosal they put in the Hep B vaccines.

        He is now progressing after more than 9 years of therapies and interventions. He is in mainstreaming school, ahead in mathematics but needs help in language arts. He is highly talented in music and dancing. He is now on neurofeedback and balancing therapy to reduce his in-attention issues.

        I do not want to see other children to become victims of any vaccination program.

        Keep on telling the world on the negative side effects of vaccination on our kids and to make the safest vaccination programs with zero negative side effects.

        I flew all the way from Fairbanks, Alaska to Pheonix, Arizona last July to the Autism Society of America Conference just to see
        you and hear your speech. Sadly, you were unable to make the conference due to your court date in London. But I did watch your video speech.

        As a preschool special education teacher, who has five preschool students with autism, and mother of an 8 year old son with regressive autism, and 6 year old son with PDD-NOS, I appreciate all you have done to put yourself and your research on the line of controversy for our children with autism. When my oldest son was a toddler, he had chronic ear infections, which were followed by endless streams of antibiotics. After his MMR, he had an unusual red rash which roved around his entire body. Four pediatricians could not identify the cause of it. He later lost his speech, did not interact or respond to others around him, regressed in his fine motor skills(no longer able to feed himself using a spoon), regressed in toileting skills and screamed constantly. All his life, he has suffered with bowel problems. This is what led me to finding your research online over the past year. Since then, I have discovered he is allergic to wheat and placed him on a gluten free diet. He is also seeing a DAN doctor. He is in a regular third grade classroom most of the day, but still has many challenges to face in the years ahead. Please do not let the challenges you are facing with the London court battle stop you from making further discoveries which will touch the lives of families all over the world, such as mine.

        As the mother of a child with autism, people like you who paved the way and stood your ground on honestly, helped the rest of us to make sense of a very senseless crime. Also, that we are not crazy. Our children were fine and now they are not. My son and many other childen who I help throught the various parent projects are better due to the diets. And in the case of Mexico, a very poor country, sometimes the only intervention available to these people is dietary. Their children get better right away. If you never identified the gut as a problem in autism, diets would have never been considered a viable option.
        I understand that you live far from your family and that is heartwrenching to imagine. What you are going through is so unfair. However, it confirms what we have known...they have a lot to hide. You are honest and decent and you give us hope for humankind. If you ever need some R and R and a hyperbaric chamber to restore those stressed out cells, we would be glad to have you. We opened a DAN! based clinic in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

        Dear Dr Wakefield,

        I am constantly amazed at the closed mind set that I as the mother of an autistic son encounter every day from professionals and lay people. God only knows what you have to face. When I raised the issue of trying the GF/CF diet, I was told that it couldn't possibly work and why would I put him through that. I went ahead and did it anyway and three months later, my son's cognitive ability had improved considerably and he is now able to focus and concentrate for longer periods of time. I have met the same eye rolling about chelation therapy etc but my son is much calmer and more aware of his surroundings. I am sorry that they are trying to "make an example of you" but no matter what happens they will never win. The truth will come out in the end and you can rest easy that you have helped autistic people all over the world and I for one am very grateful to you. Hold your head up high, you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to be ashamed of and you have a lot to be proud of.

        Several years ago, I heard you speak at an autsim conference in Anaheim. At the time, I had a 6 year-old with autism and had just had a baby prematurely at 26 weeks. Thanks to your research, my husband and I took measures to make sure our little son didn't end up like our daughter. I thank God I had heard your speech and know that if I hadn't, the extent of his gastrointestinal problems would be much worse now and he would have surely descended into the world of autism.

        I am praying for your defense and that the case of rightousness will be won. Your story needs to be told loudly and I am confident that with the help of others around the world who have "had enough" of the pharmaceutial and govenment coverups, justice will be in your favor. You are an angel of God to many of our sick children and we have you to thank for pointing us to the direction of recovery. I wish so much I had heard you speak before I'd allowed my first born to be vaccinated. Hers was a classic case but she has come so far. Thanks to your wisdom and biomedical intervention, she is very high functioning now and is in a regular education setting for most of her day. She still struggles with many things but we have been told there is no reason she shouldn't be able to go to college and be a productive citizen.

        Dr. Wakefield, I took my five year-old son to get scoped by Dr. Krigsman in Austin, and you stopped by the pre-op room to say "hello" and check out his chart beforehand. You took the time to discuss my son's medical history with me and answer any last minute questions I had. Words alone cannot express how comforted I was by your presence, your interest in my son, and your words of encouragement during a time when I was so worried about my sweet boy. The results of his scope, and the subsequent treatment, have relieved him of terrible pain and horrific chronic diarrhea that he has suffered his entire young life. All other pediatric gastroenterologist "specialists" dismissed our concern about our son's condition as some "crazy, autistic behavior." We are blessed to have you and Dr.Krigsman listening to us parents, examining our children, providing sound medical treatment based on your findings, thus bringing some peace and happiness to our children and into our homes.         I have a grandson who was cured of autism because of the incredible determination of his mother (my daughter) who is a speech therapist and recognized his symptoms at 7 months and by Dr. Neubrander, a DAN! doctor who treated my grandson. I support you and your commitment to fighting the incredible and relentless effort by the AMA and others to disregard the outcries of those who are convinced that the vaccinations contributed to many children who have sudden onset of Autism. I support your efforts and I have no doubt that one day your courageous efforts will be rewarded by the knowledge that you have helped to break through this incomprehensible barrier. The tragedy is that, as I am writing this note, there are children who are being effected by this arrogant mindset and will head down that dark road.

        Hello, My name is Gayle. I just wanted to let you know that I adopted a boy at 8 yrs old that was autistic. He was not dx autistic until 6 months after I had him in my care. All that aside, he is doing very very well with diets, enzymes, etc. My reason for writing you is, I do not know if you have this information as of yet, but here is a website called Vaers Data base that has the harmful side effects of vaccinations. If you type in Autism, there is a large number of kids that became autistic within days of getting the vaccination. It is a government information data base.         My husband and I met you in Costa Mesa California at a TACA conference in June 2005 just one month after our 23 mos old son was diagnosed with Autism. Everything you presented resonated with us and confirmed our belief in a biological reason for our son's issues. Since then, Zachary has been on the GFCF diet and many, many supplements and tons of yeast treatments. He started reading just before he turned three, loves math, and has an amazing song repertoire. He just started Junior Kindergarten, withour disclosure of his diagnosis, and is doing well. Thank you for doing valid research to help children with autism. Best of luck in London!

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,

        I am the proud grandfather of a lovable seven year old, nonverbal, non-potty trained boy, who "regressed" and was diagnosed autistic just prior to three years of age.

        I want to thank you for having the professional integrity and personal courage it required to put fourth your observations concerning the possibility our children have been damaged by exposure to the MMR vaccine. The fierce opposition of public health officials to your "suggestion" they continue scientific research to further establish whether or not your observations are valid was absolutely stunning to witness. Indeed, the very fact they reacted so viciously towards your observations leads me to conclude these public health officials have much to fear should your observations prove true. Shame on them, first, for ignoring your warnings on the safety of the MMR vaccine......and....secondly, for prosecuting (persecuting) you instead of conducting the toxicological research that frigtens them so. Apparently, their own professional reputations are worth far more than acknowledging the possibility their vaccines have caused far more harm than good.

        My little guy was recently treated by Dr. Arthur Krigsman and was diagnosed with colitis, gasteronitis, with highly inflammed upper and lower tracts. Since we began treating our little guy for the painful discomfit he must have endured over five years, we have observed a significant decrease in many "autistic" behaviors, such as, sleepless nights, spontaneous outbursts of spinning, head banging, etc. etc. While Dr. Krigsman has not informed us what "caused" our little guy's "gut issues", we remain convinced they were "caused" by the many vaccines he had been given prior to his "regression".

        My friend, please be aware that you and your family will be in our prayers as you go forward on your journey to tell the truth. God bless you!!!!!

        Hello Dr. Wakefield,
        I am so sorry to hear of your unfortunate circumstances. Undoubtedly, you and your collegues
        should be applauded for your investigative studies with the autistic children. I have a 16 year old son with Autism. I cannot begin to tell you what we have been through over the years,esp. from Birth to Age 10. From the day he was born, Kyle had stomach problems. All of my concerns were dismissed by my pediatrician, then later many other doctors along the way. I have always been convinced that my son's Autism had more to do with his stomach than his brain. Recent reports, and a wonderful article in "Discover" magazine are finally confirming a connection.
        One of the first signs of a problem with my son was that he appeared to be having some kind of seizure activity occuring. Again, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. Once Kyle could sit in a highchair, he would have "episodes" while eating or drinking his Nutramigen formula,(he could not handle breast milk...he had chronic diarrhea). Kyle would be be eating/drinking and suddenly go limp and stare into space. After about 2-3 years of being told "not to worry" or being treated as though I was imagining things, I found a new doctor who sent me to the Pediatric G.I.Clinic at Rhode Island's main hospital. After they ruled out various problems, they decided to do extensive stomach testing beyond the routine kind of tests that had been done previously. Kyle had to wear a 24 hour monitor with a tube through his nose to his stomach. Finally, we had the first piece of valuable information. He had been suffering with gastric reflux. Quite amazingly, the seizure-like episodes stopped right after he started on prescription Zantac. Apparently, the reflux was causing a sensory response. Kyle did not have the language to tell me what was happening! Then of course, staring is a typical autistic trait. Kyle did not have a definitive diagnosis of Autism until he was 3 years old.
        While working with the G.I. specialists, they were very concerned about Kyle's bowel problems. As we had added solid foods to Kyle's diet, we were dealing with diarrhea and constipation in a dramatic way. We started on a journey of food restrictions, supplements, allergy testing, etc.,etc.,etc.. Eventually we were dealing with severe encoprisis that at one point appeared to be life threatening. We had to take Kyle to Boston Children's Hospital where he was treated by experts. My little guy was put through some awful procedures. Kyle had "accidents" and leakage problems for many years, into his teens. He had to remain in diapers until age 10-11. To this day we have to carefully monitor Kyle's stomach issues, and we occasionally have a minor relapse.
        I always had my suspicions that there was a major stomach connection but in all of my research concerning Autism, very little was written about such issues. Over the years, as I helped other families with newly diagnosed Autistic children, I learned that every single child had some kind of stomach issue that impaired their quality of life. I often questioned doctor's as to why research was not being done. It seems that the stomach problems were considered to be a seperate disorder, not necessarily linked to the Autism. Doctor's lumped the unexplainable symptom's into an allergy catagory. It has been deeply frustrating. Over time, most parents, including myself, come to realize that we are more knowledgeable about Autism than the majority of doctors are. It made me quite angry because so many of use were suffering financially and our quality of family life deteriorated over time because there was no help. We were all searching endlessly to help these beautiful children. As a parent, you do feel as though you live on another planet...it is a life that few can comprehend.
        This past year has been a turning point for all of us with Autistic children. Finally, the true story is being told. Finally, the public is opening their eyes as we now know that Autism is here in epidemic proportion. Finally, I am hearing that there is a clear stomach connection. I am praying that there will now be more funding and studies devoted to helping our children...
        I will be praying for you and your collegues. I do not know all the details of your situation but I do know that your motives seem sincere. Obviously, someone must be doing such research. We cannot waste any more time. The facts are clear. May God bless you, protect you and give you peace in this time of difficulty.

        Dr. Wakefield, I applaud your continued work, dedication and strength of character. It is rare one meets a true hero (yes the term applies to you as it would to anyone who not only stands up for their beliefs but especially for one who defends the weak and helpless). I once said to you that you had "guts", realizing after a few moments the pun. In a world where everyone continues to be more and more self-centered, it is refreshing to see someone can look at the bigger picture. Although it may not have been your plan, you have left your mark on history. It is because of the work of people like you my son now speaks and interacts with those who dearly love him. Marcus was the featured child for the month of August in the NAA 2006 calender. He learned to fly a kite and rollerblade this past summer.         My child had terrible diarrheas all the way from 2 to 4 years old. He also consumed an inordinate amount of milk (a gallon per day). He was given an endoscopy with secretin. his diarrheas stopped, he behaved MUCH better, and guess what? He approached mom (me) and said: "mommy nice", and caressed my face. I almost died! Since then he didn't have any bowel problems, speaks too much, and is high functioning. Your study deserves respect and be validated.

My son has suffered from GI issues from the time of his regression. Fortunately, we have found some relief with biomedical treatments but still struggle with off and on symptoms.

        My 3 1/2 yr old son lies on his stomach pressing the upper intenstine area on corners of beds, tables and chairs to get relief. His ears turn beet red as do his cheeks. He poops approx. 5 times per day and it has never been formed. This is not normal and he is in pain. The doctors in Toronto seem to think that children with Autism usually have gut issues - but they refuse to treat him, scope him or do any meaningful testing. I'm trying one last gastro clinic and if I don't see results I'm putting him on a plane and going to Thoughtful House for proper treatment.
        Thank you for providing this service, you're one of very few that actually believe our children deserve to be free of pain so they can heal, focus and proceed with life.

        I listened to you speak at the 2005 DAN conference in Toronto and immediately started on a path to stop the gut damage the next day. You helped me see that my child is behaving in this way due to pain, not autism. We're on the path to recovery but need your continuing research and knowledge sharing to ensure our kids are not just a statistic to be written off as handicapped.

        More than any other speaker, you are the one who changed my life.
        I had spent almost ten years supporting people with developmental disabilities when my grandson was born. Somehow, all of my professional experience became useless, as I tried to understand what was happening to this lovely little boy. My emotions were in lock-up.
        But in my sleep, night after night, my dreams told me the truth. Night after night, Morgan would speak to me, plainly and clearly, in a language that I had forgotten. I would listen, my mind wracked with frustration, thinking, "He's telling me something. I used to know this. I should know what this means. What does it mean?" I would wake in tears, trying to remember.
        Then I watched the DAN! Videos. You showed a photograph of a child, my grandson's age, leaning his belly against a chair. You said, "This is not autistic behavior. This is normal behavior. This child is applying pressure to the abdomen to alleviate pain." I was engulfed by a wave of understanding and grief. My grandson was in pain. That's what he was telling me, that's what I didn't want to face.
        My children (adult parents) are just like me. They are pig-headed and cling to their illusions. But from that moment on, the subject of our debate has been gut illness and gut health. This debate has changed our lives. In two weeks, my son will finally attend his first DAN! Conference. This is a miracle.
        You are the reason I have hope. You helped me face what I could not face, squarely. You are a great physician, and a great person. Like other great men, you have been attacked for speaking the truth. Like other great men, you may feel alone.

        I live in France and only know your works and I am fully aware of :
        - the incredibly short amounts of money scientists have, around the world, to search in the are of autism
        - the terribly difficult conditions to organise consistent research studies among autistic population (very different treatments, disabilities, lives, ...)
        - the fact that money and energy to go ahead in science of autism mostly come from affected families who want to know wht autism came and how to help the children now.

        In my mind, you did the best in the very difficult word of autism today.

        But most of all, my daughter Violette, 8 y.o. has experienced at the age of 1 and two vaccinal cocktails (ROR and pentacoq), after a very normal developement (walking, speaking and laughing), a very brutal regression, 6 months with antibiotics due to chronic otitis. After that, she became another girl with deep autism....and a very unexpected and strange gut disease..

        The fact that you only pointed out this amazing coincidence of a viral gut disease with late onset autism is a great discovery that the science community must recognize and award !!

        Dr. Wakefield is a hero and the government of the United Kingdom should be ashamed of what they are doing to him. As a medical professional and the parent of a 15 year old son with gut issues (very likely caused by his vaccines) I strongly urge both the UK government and our government to look seriously at the dangers of immunizing children (and adults) while giving no thought or consideration to the fact that each and every vaccine has serious and sometimes deadly side effects. That you have been so unjustly pilloried by your peers, most or all of whom have not bothered to either listen to the accounts of the parents or to even read the scientific evidence, is a comment on the way science and its reporting has been colonized by powerful vested interests.

        The people lined up against you, on the other side, have no answers. That have not even addressed the most basic questions, (1) what might, even hypothetically, cause autism? (2) why has autism so markedly increased, particularly regressive autism? and (3) why are reports from parents around the world so consistent? But the crisis of regressive autism has now grown so great that the truth can only be delayed, and will ultimately emerge. Your work will form a central part of that truth.

        I have heard Dr. Wakefield speak at many conventions and seminars. He has really educated me and my doctor on the connection of stomach disorders with many people that have autism. My 5 year old son has autism and had horrible stomach problems ever since he was born. Learning from Dr. Wakefield and others in the DAN group, my son was treated for his stomach disorders and immune system problems. Within 24 hours of treatment my son's life took a turn for the better and within 4 months he was a happy and healthy boy! He still has autism, but because he has such a good life now and feels good, he is progressing a lot each day with his therapies and school.         If I understand correctly, they are putting you in the pillar because you inflicted unnecessary tests to children, yet:

        1. the parents are not complaining
        2. the kids were in fact sick
        3. the tests revealed a pathology that could not have been detected otherwise.
        4. the kids got better with appropriate treatment

        I'm not sure many regularly scheduled tests prove to be this appropriate...

        The media is concerned because you created a fear of vaccination, yet:

        1. There have been studies that show this particular vaccine could be problematic and the studies have been replicated
        2. There are alternatives to the MMR
        3. The media has misreported both the reports findings and the issues (the article in the lancet still stands contrary to what many think)
        4. The government tried to cover up instead of facing the issue and giving the population a feasible alternative, causing confusion

        Aren't the media and the government the guilty ones?

        You are a researcher, and your job is to research and publish what you find, whether it fits or not the current model. That's what science is about, isn't it? Where is the controversy? You reported on what you found.

        Science needs to be independent of economics and political implications, and I hope your colleagues that are putting you on the stand will be independent enough to see the truth in the science, away from the media pressure and the political implications and that something good can still come out of your ordeal.

        Be strong, and know that you are not alone.

        I would like you to know how appreciative I am of your research and your work with autistic
        individuals!

        I am a parent of an autistic boy, and I have learned a long time ago to trust my gut feelings
        (no pun intended). And even though half the world would like me to believe that vaccines are safe
        for everybody, I disagree. My son had gut issues very early on in his life, and I believe that these gut issues set the stage for not tolerating /excreting foreign materials like vaccines that were put in his body.
        Actually, we never really know what comes first - the chicken or the egg? Newborns
        start to get shot up with vaccines right away, which must put an incredible amount of stress on
        their immature systems.

        Anyways, I wish there were more individuals like you, trying to get to the bottom of why so many
        kids have ASD. I have the highest regard for your work.
        I hope that at the conclusion of this insane trial everybody will realize that you simply are doing
        research - and the last time I checked - that was still allowed.

We attended a confernce in Irvine< California back in June 2000 and you and Dr. Bradstreet spoke the truth then as you do now. I have before me a Report for Measles Virus Detection from Unigenetics LTD dated October 11, 2000. Our daughter had a colonoscopy in Boston and her biopsies were sent to this lab. Measles was detected per ng of RNA: 8.0 x 10 to the 6th. Results: positive for measles.

        I can't thank you enough for your research regarding autism and IBD. My autistic nephew went to school for years with a bucket to throw up in. All the experts said that it was "nerves" related to going to school. When he was 14 he was on the verge of death with all the signs of inflammatory bowel disease (skeleton looking, bloody stool, etc.) They finally decided to do a colonoscopy and found he had full blown IBD.

        At six, my own autistic son spent months in and out of a children's hospital trying to find the cause of his stomach and leg pain. Even though he would cry, "my tummy hurts" over and over again and eventually lost the ability to walk, they refused to do a colonoscopy. I told them of my nephew's condition and that my brother also had IBD but they would not look for IBD in such a young child. I eventually found a gastroenterologist that knew about your research and he forced them to do an endoscopy...Thank God!!!

        Your research wasn't around to help my nephew, but it was to help my son.

        In many ways, you saved his life. He can walk and is not in pain because of all of you who did this ground breaking research.

In the years since you first raised the issue of a connection between vaccines and autism, more and more research has shown that there are connections between genes and how people respond to medications.         Anyone who stands up to the truth of autism and the many aberrations that exist these days about our foods, our education, our government, pharmaceutical companies, and the environmental reasons that degeneration of our children's wellness is no mystery, is truely a rare individual.

        Thank you for being brave enough to inquire, then discover what you did. Thank you for being brave enough to publicly share your findings and validate the thousands of mothers who 'knew' when everything shifted in their child, even though the entire medical community denies thier instincts and observations.

        What has happened to your life as a result of your activism is why many will not speak out and act on the true causes and take appropriate action.

        I have written to you before and my sentiments about you and your sacrifices for Autistic children have grown rather than diminished. Our enduring respect, esteem and appreciation for what you are doing and what you have done has earned you a special place in our house.         Deb and I are in our mid-50's and we have seen our share of troubles. Micheal's illness has cost us everything we have been able to muster emotionally, intellectually and financially.         Dr. Andrew Wakefield and Family,

        Words cannot expressed my thanks to you for your first research published in the Lancet 1998. Without this report I would not have been able to insist on endoscopies for my only two sons, {Michael(PDD) Blake(ASD)} from my pediatrician back in 2000. He reluctantly agreed to appease me as a last resort expecting not to find anything; but to his surprise the lab report came back with a CODE 4 showing severe acute and chronic inflammation with H pylori infestations. They were put on HP Pak and LOSEC but constipation and diarhea and bloating persisted over the years until this past summer 2007. The difference was I always believed from your report that the measles virus in the gut was the root of the problem and without getting rid of it the inflammation would persist. I think we have conquered the measles virus using a combination herbal tea (Goldenseal root powder, valerian root and mullein leaves) 3 times per day for 3 months. We then treated with amoxcillin/nexium/biaxin and tinidazole with aggressive probiatics/anti-fungal and anti-viral treatment afterwards. For the first time, my kids tell me that there is no more pain in their gut. The constipation has tremendously improved. I thank you for leading us down this path.

        I would not have persisted down this road if it wasn't for your work. Just know that whatever happens with this witch hunt of a persecution trial, God is on your side. There has to be a bigger picture in all of this. You spoke TRUTH and his word his truth that says” THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN THAT SHALL NOT BE REVEALED. Take hope, whether it is in this life experience or the next your reward for BRAVERY AND COMPASSION is assured.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield, If it were not for your medical findings, my daughter Angela would still be suffering from severe gastrointestinal problems, and barely eating pureed foods. However, because of you we insisted that they do the upper and lower scopes on her. Her entire duodenum was full of lymph node hyperplacia, and only fluids could barely trickle through, a reason she was projectile vomiting al the time. After treatment with an anti-inflamatory, she can now eat regular food, she no longer has the severe bloating and constipation/diarrhea and she now sleeps at night. Her whole behavior and health have improved. We owe you everything. We can not thank you enough for your research into the gut problems of children with autism.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,
        I have heard you speak at DAN conferences and read much of your work. My ASD son Reid was a participant in one of your recent studies in which Arthur Krigsman, M.D. performed the endoscopy. My husband and I later read in the ARI newsletter that 85% of the ASD kids in that study were shown to have the processed strain of measles in their GI tract. Because of the restrictions placed on that study we were not allowed afterwards to learn if Reid was one among the 85%.
        Nevertheless, we and others now have even more evidence that autism is an auto-immune disease, that vaccinations can be a primary factor, and autism can be treated biomedically.

        I can't imagine how tough it must be on you and your family to work so assiduously in this field and to be attacked so often and so unfairly. I admire your brilliant work and your tenacity. Perhaps in the future you and other DAN doctors will be recognized fully for all the help and hope that you have given to parents and their autistic children.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield/family,
        I think that you are a brave and heroic man and physician. Years from now you will be applauded for your courage, and vindicated for your research on the possible link between the MMR and autism.
        I have not allowed my ASD daughter to have her booster shots, because I believe the MMR played a role in her developing autism. She developed a sudden high fever 6 weeks after her MMR, and was not the same after that. Her symptoms were subtle at first, and it took over 2 years to get her diagnosis. She also developed chronic constipation too. SIGH.

        But, I would like to share an interesting story with you. March of 2005, was a challenging month for me, as I had consulted several local specialists, one of whom was a DAN doctor, the other was a neurologist, who used both conventional and alternative medications. Both specialists were against my daughter receiving any more vaccines. Knowing this was an important decision, I prayed to God that night for guidance and when I checked my Email the next morning, it seemed as if the Good Lord had answered my prayer. Mysteriously, I received the story about a little English girl who had died as a result of the MMR shot. She had an immediate reaction to the shot and lived with severe neurologic damage until the age of three. Bless her heart, she had violent seizures. Her parents were awarded damages by the British Government, who ruled that the vaccination was responsible for her death. Of Course, it was a gut wrenching ordeal for the parents to even obtain this kind of omission, let alone the damages. You see, Dr. Wakefield-That family shares my surname, and the little girl's name, Hannah, is extremely close to my little girl's name. My last name is Buxton, just like the English family. Even the mother's name is close to mine. The TAAP group sent me this story and for the life of me, I do not know how they got my email address. I still have that email, and I think about this remarkable coincidence. I think that more research is needed into the autism/MMR theory because persons with ASD do have abnormal immune responses and brain inflammation. Hannah died in 1988, I believe and the case was settled in 1992- so how/why I heard about it in Mar. 2005-I will never know.

        I heard you speak at a DAN conference in Boston several years ago. Your work and that of Dr. Tim Buie have changed the life of my son immeasurably, making him healthier and thus happier than he might ever have been had we not followed our own insincts in seeing that his illness had so many more facets to it than a simple autism diagnosis.

        Dear Dr. Wakefield,

        Please know that many of us are saying prayers on your behalf daily, especially now, during your time of great persecution. It has been truly courageous of you and your colleagues to actually question the sacred cow of immunization. I, like many parents of a child with an ASD, am not anti-immunization. I am just against any immunization schedule that could possibly harm our children. In 1989 I witnessed my own child slip away after his MMR. I also subjected my son to the DTP three times before his MMR, which, as we now know, had the mercury based preservative, Thimerosal, used in it. Such knowledge sits very sadly within my heart. However, my actions were all based on the assurances of the safety of such immunizations by the paediatrician treating my son at the time.
        Rather than the medical community recognizing that there is a cohort of children who may not be able to cope with the immunization schedule as it is presently organized they are attempting to shoot the messenger, namely yourself and your colleagues. I read about your trial in the Schafer Autism Report and am appalled at the way they have treated your attempts to raise valid questions about the safety of the immunization schedule, in particular, the MMR. I thought we lived in democratic societies who valued open and critical thought especially when our children's lives are so catastrophically affected by being blinkered and defensive. Unfortunately, other agendas seem to be more important than the safety of our children when it comes to the immunization schedule. I can only hope and pray that justice will prevail and the truth will eventually come out.

I think it is terrible that his NHS doctors never told us about diet and heavy metal poisoning. Although he luckily has no bowel problems, I know of many who do.

        A rapid series of tests on blood and other samples from both children came back negative. Both boys deteriorated and were admitted into intensive care.

        The doctors were concerned that the boys’ brains were swelling dangerously, a condition known as encephalitis. They suspected a viral infection, but could not identify it.

        Dr Eithne MacMahon, consultant virologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, said: “This was something I’d never seen before. We had to think much harder about what it could be and decided to test for measles, even though measles-associated encephalitis hasn’t been seen in the UK for many years.”

        The tests came back positive. Matthew and Joe were fighting for their lives against an affliction that British doctors thought had been consigned to the history books.

        HOW had a potentially lethal disease resurfaced with such a vengeance? For more than four decades a concerted effort to vaccinate children had driven measles almost off the map. A few cases persisted each year, but they numbered barely 100.

        Then in February 1998 Dr Andrew Wakefield, a researcher at the Royal Free hospital in London, ignited a worldwide scare over the safety of the combined measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine. Through a study published in medical journal The Lancet, the vaccine was linked to a bowel disorder and a severe form of regressive behaviour, generally known as autism.

        I am the mother of 11 year old Ryan who had a severe adverse reaction to his MMR and Hep B at age 13 months. Within days of the shots, he developed erythema multiforme and vasculitis, had a fever of 105 and was unable to sit up, eat, drink or talk. After he "recovered" from that episode, his descent into autism began.

        IT IS SHAMEFUL what was done to our children.

        My grandson went through 36 hours of screaming 2 days after his MMR, and the best his doctor could do was write a prescription for Valium. He had chronic diarrhea, chronic skin rashes and banged his head or ran in circles day and night.

        When I heard the first DAN! conference online, and heard your lecture, I downloaded the lecture on a disc and brought it to the physician who had told us our grandson "just had autistic diarrhea"...as if there was such a disease! I slammed the disc down on his desk, told him to give me my grandson's medical files and we would find someone who gave a damn about our kids.

        That was 3 years ago. Today, our "profoundly autistic" grandson is 5. He reads, speaks, is growing normally, plays normally with toys, is in a full-day special needs kindergarten with an hour per day in the "regular" classroom with an aide (and cries for more). We aren't to the end of the tunnel, yet, but the light grows stronger every day.

        The doctors who tell parents there is nothing that can be done are the ones who should all be on trial.

        Thank you, thank you , thank you...every day, from the bottom of my heart for the work you've done and the risks you've taken with your reputation on behalf of our suffering children. If "what goes around, comes around" exists, there will be days of joy ahead for you with all the profound joy that parents have felt as the results of your work has brought so many families out of the darkness and into the light of hope.

I have two sons who are vaccine damaged and are now on the autism spectrum and we need this "age of vaccine induced autism" to end.         My family and I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for the autism community. I cannot believe what the medical community is doing to you. But you must now there are lots of us in the United States believe in you, and support you. You are not alone. My son would never have progressed the way he has if it wasn't for you and other doctors who speak up when they see something is wrong and should be questioned.         Dearest Dr Wakefield,

        In 1999 I had no idea who you were. After my child was diagnosed with autism Bernie Rimland referred me to read about your work.

        In 2000 and all the years following your professional observations, research and presentations have been about finding the truth and answers to help children and their families in great need. I don't know how one goes about thanking you properly for these monumental efforts. Thank you does not seem like enough.

        Your research, presentations and desire to find the truth have almost been in the forefront of my mind. While others have ran from the truth - you always stood by it with strength, dignity and hard data. When you could have walked away from the controversey - you stood by the truth and the hard work of you and your colleagues. This is something to applaud and reward - not put on trial.

        Thank you Andy. Thank you for everything. We stand by you and thank you for the efforts and sacrafices. You will prevail. It is just another mountain to move and you have done that before. Thank you.

        Thank God for Dr. Wakefield and his endless quest to help our children!!!!!!

        The knowledge I obtained from him each year from the DAN conferences has educated and directed me to focus on specific treatments to help in recovering my daughter. Because of Dr. Wakefield, we were finally able to understand why our daughter was chronically ill. Because of Dr. Wakefield, we were able to find the treatments neccessary to help repair our daughter's Immune System.

        We are deeply indebted to Dr. Wakefield, without his dedication to our children, my daughter would not be almost fully recovered. She would not be in a typical 2nd grade classroom. She would not be able to say that she that she want to be a peditrician when she grows up so she can help sick children.

        You have selflessly brought the world's attention to the tragedy of autism - no doubt your sacrifice cut years off the time it might have taken us to start effective treatments for our son and countless others as well.

        Because the words "Autism," "Wakefield" and "MMR" were in the news throughout Grant's young life we were aware of ongoing skepticism about vaccines. That served us well at his 15-month checkup where we were casually told he "might have autism" and instructed to "wait and see." Memories of Grant lying limp in our arms with fever following his MMR vaccination served as the catalyst for us begin researching autism and the vaccine controversy that very day. It ultimately led us to your important findings and our son's healing journey began.

        Today, our precious son - once diagnosed with full-syndrome autism, is attending a regular school without an aide, has his first puppy-love girlfriend, and is indistinguishable from his peers. If you'd backed down, I don't know that we would have ever looked so hard for the answers that brought him back to us.

        You've stared into the abyss - you know how many have suffered. Thanks for refusing to yield.

        Many of our children cannot speak, but we are not blind.

        Just spend a little time at an autism conference talking to parents and add some common sense and you can clearly see that many of our children with autism have bowel issues and a large number of cases have a genesis coinciding with the MMR vaccination.

        That being the case, in the name of humanity's best interest Dr. Wakefield made a decision to pursue these reports and he proved them correct. Additionally, his findings have been duplicated by other researchers. Rather than being supported for a discovery that is helping literally tens of thousands of families, Dr. Wakefield is being repaid by the medical establishment bringing him to court.

        In time the truth will come out and history will see this trial and the preceding events as the witch hunts that they are and society will see those responsible as worse than witch hunters because they are putting our children in harms way.

        I have a child who was diagnosed with autism in 2004 and he is now recovered. He had bowel issues and he regressed after his vaccines. After treatment my son recovered. RECOVERED. Why? Because of people like Dr. Wakefield who are truly committed to the children and for finding the truth.

        We are not anti-vaccine. We just want children not to be put in harms way and when they are we want to let the parents know the truth. Autism for many is treatable and preventable. Interfering with the truth will only hurt more children, fuel the epidemic and perpetuate a growing distrust in the medical establishment.

        You can stop this from happening. Let Dr. Wakefield get back to his job of researching and healing children.
