Specialties: Clinical Nutrition, Neurology, Applied Kinesiology

1. What are the primary medical specialties in which you were originally trained (e.g., pediatrics, family medicine)? Chiropractic, Clinical Nutrition, Functional Neurology, Applied Kinesiology

2. Approximately how many individuals with autism have you treated, and what is the age range? 50 - 60, ages 2 - 38. Most have been 2 - 14 years old.

3. Do you usually have a waiting list? Sometimes, but rarely more than a few weeks.

4. On the average, how long do you spend face-to-face with a new patient for an initial consultation? 1.5 hours

5. After the first consultation, what is the average length of an appointment? 30 minutes

6. Are your patients advised to use special diets such as GF/CF, SCD, low-oxalate, etc.? Depending on the results of food sensitivity testing

7. Can you collaborate with other specialists we will be dealing with (e.g., gastroenterologists)? Yes, happily!

8. Are you willing to collaborate on treatment and testing with a child’s pediatrician if he/she is receptive? Yes. I believe that the team approach is far superior if all members of the team are working together.

9. Do you or anyone in your office speak languages other than English? Some French and a very little Spanish

10. Are you willing to offer phone consultations for distant patients? Yes

11. Do you provide any form of after-hours support? Yes. Patients can reach me via voicemail, cell phone, and in critical cases at home.

12. Do you sell proprietary nutritional supplements or have a sales agreement with supplement suppliers? Do you sell supplements at list price or less? Yes. We work with professional quality companies and, because of California licensing law, are able to sell without charging sales tax.

13. Do you take insurance? If not, do you provide organized, coded insurance forms? No, but we provide superbills and do our best to use reimbursable codes.

14. Do you bill for laboratory tests done by commercial laboratories? How do you break down the fees? We generally have patients pay specialty labs directly. For more traditional testing, we have agreements in place and are able to pass savings along to our patients.

15. Is there a reason you might not bill for an office visit? We do some pro bono work through Rescue Families Program
