Welcome to the Berard AIT Filtering website. This Internet website is designed to assist Berard AIT practitioners determine the most appropriate filter settings for their clients. My AIT filtering procedure is based on my experience with over 8,000 clients over a 20-year period. Drs. Rimland and Edelson of the Autism Research Institute in San Diego conducted several controlled studies and found that the Berard AIT method was effective in treating autistic children and adults.
Please realize that this Internet program is not a substitute for understanding and learning the Berard AIT filtering procedure. Berard AIT practitioners can use this program to double-check the accuracy of the filter settings. Clients may also use this program to make sure their practitioner is using the correct filters.

It is important to mention that my filtering procedure applies to only Berard AIT approved machines. These machines include the Earducator and the AudioKinetron. My filtering rules should not be used on any other AIT device because there is no evidence that my procedure will be effective on them.
I would like to thank Stephen M. Edelson, Ph.D. for writing this elaborate computer program. The program consists of over 1,000 lines of computer code. Dr. Edelson wrote many mathematical algorithms to analyze the configurations of a variety of listening tests. Since there are, theoretically, hundreds of thousands of possible patterns, there may be some configurations that are not correctly handled by the algorithms. If you disagree with any of the results from this program, simply complete the ‘Error Check’ report located at the bottom of the results page. These results will be sent to Dr. Edelson and to me for further analysis.
Dr. Edelson and I hope this website will improve the quality of Berard AIT services throughout the world.
