Welcome! Recovery from autism is no longer a dream, it is a proven reality! The Autism Research Institute (ARI) has been in contact with thousands of parents and hundreds of physicians who have reported both near recovery and full recovery in formerly autistic children, due largely to the methods developed by our team of Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) researchers and doctors.

In 2003 and 2004, ARI sponsored two ‘Recovered Autistic Children’ events at our DAN! conferences. The first event was held in Los Angeles in October, 2003. Stage and screen actor, Lou Diamond Phillips, interviewed formerly autistic children. The second event was held in Long Beach in October, 2004; and Stan Kurtz, a parent of a formerly autistic child, interviewed more recovered children. These two events are historical in the field of autism, and they can be viewed in the archive section on this website.

We received some criticisms about these onstage interviews because some parents and professionals were skeptical. They feared that the children were never autistic and that they had always been normal.

We are proud to have overcome those objections by presenting you now with a new set of videos, which demonstrate the children’s condition before and after biomedical intervention, as well as a brief summary of what therapies were given to them.

We feel strongly that these videos are a major turning point in the history of autism. From this point on, recovery is clearly not just possible, but is, in fact, a reality.
